Our existing alert tools are used extensively by our customers, so that they can be alerted to a range of events, whether it’s a temperature out-of-bounds, geofence entry, harsh-braking event or any other scenario.
Some of our customers have a regulatory/compliance duty to ensure that alerts are not only seen, but investigated and addressed urgently. E.g. Where a temperature alarm goes off, the transport manager needs to ensure the issue is responded to, before goods are spoiled.
We’ve introduced a new Alert Acknowledgement feature to support these scenarios. Once enabled, users will be invited to ‘take action’ on any new alerts that are raised. A new view titled “Action Required” provides a list of any new alerts requiring action. Users can click into the alert and view relevant information such as the time, date, location, and e.g. temperature charts.
Once the user has investigated and understood/resolved the incident, we provide a simple workflow for users to mark the incident as resolved, give a reason and add their comments.
We provide additional views, and reports that allow your regulatory and compliance team to monitor alerts, and – as an example – ensure they are responded to within e.g. 4 hours.
This feature is free, and available to all accounts
Several customers have asked whether there is an easy way to pause an alert, e.g. for bank-holidays. In this release, we’ve added a new toggle to all alerts allowing you to toggle alerts between active and paused.
The 2nd change is in the Alerting configuration, on the conditions page. You’ll now find a checkbox that allows you to ignore Off Road Vehicles when generating alerts. A good example of this, is to stop false alarms going out when a vehicle is VOR undergoing maintenance.
Under new regulations, several customers have asked for a report that allows them to view and confirm that all vehicles are correctly assigned to the right depot. We’ve introduced a new view, that – for the current month – compares the Home Depot of each vehicle with the depot that it
We’ve made several handy improvements to our VOR platform, that we think will make the feature more accessible.
We’ve copied the existing VOR functionality into a new tab on the Maintenance page, making it more accessible to a wider audience. Users (e.g. Depot Transport Managers) are now able to mark vehicles as off-road without going via an administrator.
